More to come on choosing a venue for your wedding ceremony but couldn’t resist making sure you’d considered Concorde.

The BBC news website have reported today that a Concorde passenger jet is now available for wedding ceremonies in Surrey. The Concorde jet has been granted a civil wedding licence 6 years after making its last commercial passenger flight.

A wedding venue like this will certainly make for some great wedding pictues.

Unless you’re staying at your reception venue the night before your wedding, having the ceremony and reception at the same venue and staying the night at your venue, you will probably need to organise some transport for throughout the day: transport from where you are getting ready to the ceremony; ceremony to reception venue if at a different venue, transport after the reception to your first night accommodation.

You may also need to think about transport for other people e.g. parents of the bride and groom, bridesmaids, best man, ushers, etc. If your reception venue is a long way from your wedding ceremony venue, you may also need to organise some minibuses/coaches to take your guests to your reception venue.

What type of transport?

There are many options, from borrowing a friends posh car, to classic cars, to choosing a horse & carriage. Some people have been known to arrive on even more interesting modes of transport including a milk float at one wedding we attended!

How much will it cost?

Spending money on wedding cars can sometimes be seen as necessary but very expensive, a bit of a necessary evil when it comes to the wedding budget. If you choose prestige or classic cars, they may cost you anywhere between £75-300+ per car. If you’re spending a lot on a classic or prestige car, make sure you get your money’s worth by having some photos taken with the car – getting in, getting out, leaning out of the window (just make sure you don’t get any car oil on your dress!)
